This is the full manual for the BV513, PIC32_Basic and Micro_BOS. There are no printed manuals but these pages are provided on CD-ROM with the BV513. The web site pages will be more up to date than the CD-ROM particularly early on as more information is added. The site should be used as a reference and I would appreciate any feedback, corrections, broken links, missing images and even any contributions of your own.
ByVac is a small manufacturing company that specialises in creating component modules that make using difficult things easier and the BV513 is no exception to this. A 32bit microcontroller with BASIC is much easer to use then one that relies on specific tool sets, C, compilers, linkers and assemblers. The BASIC comes with the BV513 and can be used on as many BV513's as you like. For most applications there will be no need to use anything else.
The PIC32-Basic is also an excellent learning platform, getting to grips with a PIC32 is much easier with an interactive language and there is nothing to stop going on to C or C++ at a later date. For those not used to a microcontroller at all this is also a good place to start, arguably there is little point in using an 8 bit microcontroller now except for the most basic control applications.
